Unique License Plates

What are you doing when you stuck on traffic jam? Usually I will listen to radio and look around to find interesting billboard, latest car model in the road, cute stickers in the cars or even unique number plates. A lot of people willingly spend their money to have unique, cute or special private number plates. These numbers can be their name initial, birthday date, wedding date or their lucky number. They purposely choose this number so it will be easy for them to remember their number plates.

Each country and each race have their own tradition. Like for Chinese, they will avoid plate number consist of 4 because that means bad luck, and the price for plate number 668 is very expensive because it means prosperity along the life. Chinese also will choose plate number consist of 8 or 88 or 888 or 8888 because number 8 is written without broken line so they are hoping a very good result in the end. While in western countries, plate number 7 or 77 or 777 or 7777 will be very expensive because they believe 7 is a lucky number.

These unique number plates also sometime been used for decoration in restaurants. Maybe the number has a very deep meaning for the restaurant owner, or maybe they just hope the number will bring good luck and more customers in. So from now on, you can see number plates in different ways, not only for registration purpose but also for prestige of the owner.

Thailand Boat - Nopparat Thara Beach

This February, i and my wife went to Krabi for our holiday. We had cheap 0 air fare with Airasia. So we don’t want to miss the chance. We took it and then we go to Krabi :). We stay at Benhouse Aonang. The owner is very nice. The room is clean with reasonable price. Its about 1500 thai bath.

So this Thailand long boat photo was taken in Nopparat Thara Beach. Its really near our hotel ( Benhouse Aonang ), only 15 minute walking distance. Combine 3 different exposure photo with 10-22mm canon wide lens + Hoya HD filter attached to it.

Continue with my journey in Penang, that time we went to Batu Ferringi Beach. From Berjaya hotel it took about 30 minute to get there. As you can see, the beach is have white sand. It have many water activity like paraceiling, jet ski, banana boat, etc that you can play.

I took this photo using my only one Canon 40D with 18-55mm lens kit. Adjust in photoshop for level and contrast.

Penang Kek Lok Si Temple part 1

This December, me and my wife went to Penang for 3 days 2 night. We stay at Berjaya Hotel Penang. We had great promotion one include return ticket with Airasia airline. First thought we can took the bus to the place that we want to visit. But after discussed with hotel staff, they recommend us to book private car for hour bases. He said in Penang, they don’t charge meter on taxi, but they charge you on destination bases. So we agree and book private car for our journey in Penang.

1st day, we went to this great temple, Kek Lok Si Temple. Don’t even think about to go there on Chinese New Year. Its really crowded. The way to Kek Lok Si is really narrow road. Its only have 2 line road. So you can imagine your self. When we went to Kek Lok Si Temple, its also crowded, the road was really jammed. Because its holiday. But its worth to go there. As you can see from this Kek Lok Si Temple Photo.
